This role supports the identification, reporting, investigation, documentation, and resolution of missing, lost, damaged, or destroyed tooling and property assets.

The analyst will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Tooling, Property Management, Engineering, Quality, Contracts, and Procurement to maintain accurate property records, support audit readiness, and minimize operational and financial risk.
Key Responsibilities

Support Tool Control & Accountability (TC&A) processes for special tooling and property assets

Initiate and process required documentation including:

Locate Tool Notices (60-986KB)

LDD Reports (VO-F006) for lost, damaged, or destroyed property

Support Property Focal Point (PFP) activities in accordance with (V0-0104)

Track and monitor missing tooling and ensure timely escalation when tools are determined lost

Coordinate with Tooling Property Management focal points and PMO for reporting and record updates

Support investigations by gathering data, timelines, and contributing factors for loss/damage events

Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready (DCMA / DFARS compliance)

Assist in identifying root cause and corrective actions (RCCA) for tooling/property incidents

Support reconciliation of property records across systems (SAP, PIEE GFP module, MES/MESOW)

Coordinate replacement or disposition activities, including:

MES tool orders

Cost estimates and RFQs

Cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Pricing, and Contracts

Track ownership of assets (Company, USG, Customer) and ensure proper reporting requirements are met

Support recovery and reinstatement of previously reported lost tooling

Maintain metrics and provide status updates on missing/lost tooling trends and risks

Basic Qualifications (BQ)

Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing, production, tooling, handle chemicals or operations environment OR Master's Degree with 0 years experience working in a manufacturing, production, tooling, handle chemicals or operations environment.

Experience with data tracking, reporting, or process coordination (Excel, databases, or internal systems)

Ability to interpret and follow procedures, work instructions, and process documentation

Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Ability to communicate effectively across multiple functions and levels of the organization

Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working overhead.

The ability to utilize a computer for basic functions (including navigating through windows operating system, getting online, executing online training modules and ability to be trained using on the job software.

Must have an active U.S Government Secret Clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years)

Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)

Preferred Qualifications (PQ)

Experience with tooling, property management, or asset accountability processes

Familiarity with:

Locate Tool Notices (60-986KB)

LDD reporting (VO-F006)

PFP support (V0-0104)

TC&A processes

Knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations, specifically:

FAR 52.245-1 (Government Property)

DFARS 252.228-7001 (Ground & Flight Risk Clause)

Experience supporting audits (DCMA or internal compliance)

Experience with systems such as:

SAP

PIEE GFP module

MES / MESOW

Experience supporting root cause analysis (RCCA / CPATS)

Background working in aerospace or defense manufacturing environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
