Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead a team of Global Supply Chain Planning Specialists in Linthicum, MD. . This individual will lead a team responsible for executing all aspects of Global Supply Chain in support of the Airborne Battle Management (ABM) Operating Unit under the Airborne Surveillance Business Unit. The candidate must understand all aspects of GSC - materials management, procurement, subcontracts, cost budgets and supplier quality to support cross functionally with program office, business management engineering, production, logistics in the performance of their roles and responsibilities.

Additionally, this individual will be responsible for the development, mentoring, coaching, and engagement of the Global Supply Chain Planning Specialist team and their respective workload to ensure the Business Unit's requirements are appropriately prioritized and executed to meet the needs of the division, fostering proper engagement with the program functional teams and to facilitate communication of requirements and status to program and business area stakeholders.

Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, conducting a rhythm of material forecasting, program reviews, shop order critical path analysis, coordination of sourcing strategies with procurement, proposal support, and supplier oversight and status reporting on material shortages. This position also requires technical leadership competencies to form strategies to construct various contracting types for major subcontract activities to meet the requirements of the programs and needs of the business to include long range procurement agreements, sourcing partnerships, continuous improvement initiatives, and identification of opportunities for enhanced efficiencies.

This position will require the candidate to support Global Supply Chain compliance standards, strategies and initiatives. The successful candidate will hold strong leadership skills, excellent oral and written skills, solid communication skills, knowledge of terms and conditions, an aptitude for DoD contracting and its related requirements and the ability to lead a diverse team with varying requirements and priorities in support of the business. This individual will monitor and report on the cost and schedule and quality performance for the program.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree and work experience of a minimum 7 years in Supply Chain Management, planning, U.S. Government procurement, contracts, subcontracts/procurement or related field
  • 2+ years of experience as a team lead and/or a management of people role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and writing skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Masters Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field
  • Knowledge of SAP, CAM Experience (Budget Management, Contract proposal support, cost Estimating)
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management
  • Experience working with multiple contracting types, including Firm Fixed Price and Cost Reimbursable, and process knowledge relating to special payment provisions (progress or performance based payments)

Salary Range: $131,800 - $197,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
