Join Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector as the Scalable Agile Beam Radar (SABR) Production Program Manager 3 in our Combat Sensors Business Unit located in Linthicum, Maryland.
The selected candidate will support production of the Receiver / Exciter / Processor (REP) Line Replaceable Unit (LRU). This position will report directly to the SABR Production Director. The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. The individual will lead a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals.
Program Managers are responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout). Primary responsibilities are the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems.
What You'll Get To Do:

Provide profit and loss leadership across manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering for LRU performance

Measure and report program performance

Development and adherence to master plans and schedules

Establish a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizations

Lead direct reports and cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives

Cultivate customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the government community

Deliver presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders

Establish and manage program and subordinate baselines

Identify, allocate and manage program resources, including workforce planning

Manage suppliers to meet program objectives

Ensure program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities

Leverage interpersonal skills to manage daily team battle rhythm and recurring joint government meetings (to include status, awareness and escalations)

Strengthening communications with stakeholders and cultivate a culture of transparency

Conduct thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization

Be able to obtain additional program access

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 8 years OR a Master's degree and 6 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.

Minimum 6 years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule and at or under cost with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Board or similar business process.

Demonstrated execution capability for firm fixed price development contract type.

Ability to manage revenue, profit and cash performance of programs.

Strong formal and informal communication skills with all levels of internal and external management.

U.S. citizenship is required.

A current/active Secret clearance or above is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing environments, while maintaining consistently high customer relations, service, and engagement.

Demonstrated success creating and maintaining strong executive level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers.

Experience in the aerospace/defense industry or within the Department of Defense.

Experience in Proposal Management.

Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile methodologies.

Salary Range: $178,500.00 - $267,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
