Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Space Systems Launch Vehicles is searching for a Manager, Programs 2 to support the Sentinel Program as the PEM- Sentinel Subsystems in Chandler, AZ.
This position is located 100% onsite in Chandler, AZ. No hybrid work schedule or telecommuting is available. No relocation provisions are available.
The Launch Vehicles Sentinel Subsystem PEM will be responsible for leading system integration of the Booster including the management of the Autonomous Flight Safety System (AFSS) and Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) development efforts for the EMD contract. The individual will be responsible for coordination of the internal Launch Vehicles team as well as supplier efforts related to the systems.
Key Responsibilities include:

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.

Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.

Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.

Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.

Supports the Software Configuration Control Board, Risk Board, and Engineering Review Board.

Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

Directs the work of engineering staff assigned to the program

Coaches and develops technical discipline leads.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor degree Engineering (STEM) plus 8 years of related experience; Masters degree plus 6 years of related experience.

U.S. Citizenship is required

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance at time of application current and within scope

Ability to obtain Secret SAP clearance

5 years Program/Function Lead experience

2 years as an Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Cost Account Manager (CAM)

Strong verbal and written communications skills with all levels of management

Ability to travel 15% is required

Preferred Qualifications:

Electrical Engineering degree

Applicable Master's Degree or other advanced credentials

10 years of related experience is preferred

Demonstrated integration and flight test experience

Experience with proposals

Experience designing and certifying launch vehicle to RCC-319/-324

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
