Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman's Mission System (NGMS) sector is seeking a Manager Programs 2 to support the Advanced Land Systems (ALS) Production Programs onsite in Baltimore, MD. This manager will lead a cross-functional organization supporting production and production related development efforts. Our ideal candidate will possess production experience along with exceptional technical expertise and collaborative people skills with the proven ability to work within a technically dynamic, high-growth, fast-paced and strategically important operating unit.

You will be responsible for profitable execution of programs that meet schedule and customer requirements. Your other responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Executing assigned programs in coordination with project engineers, operations, contracts, and financial personnel in project execution.

Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs, subsystems of major programs, or projects, including periodic estimates at completion (EACs).
Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program gate review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Effectively communicate progress to customers, senior leadership and company wide audiences.
Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contract change management.
Establishes program/project milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules.
Identifies program/project problems and determines solutions, including the creation and execution of return-to-green (RTG) plans.
Lead and facilitate risk and opportunity management across the OU product line.
Identify and manage continuous improvement projects across the product line.
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, capture plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.
Coordinates staffing resource and facility needs with functional areas for programs within their program portfolio.
Provide for an open and collaborative relationship with customers, subcontractors, business unit leadership, and within related division and sector interests.
Works closely with leadership to ensure full compliance with Division, Corporate, and Government policies.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years or a Master's Degree and 6+ years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in project/program management or related fields.
Experience with Risk and Opportunity management.
Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
Experience leading complex problem resolution efforts.
Experience supporting DoD Fixed-Price contracts.
Experience with processes and procedure for operating in a manufacturing environment.
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret Clearance after starting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing people preferred.
Strong technical program management skills.
Operating a Production Program on a Prime contract.
Subcontract management experience.
CAM experience or qualification.
Experience working with SAP, MRP, or similar tools.
Experience with financial reporting and forecasting.
Primary Level Salary Range: $149,400.00 - $224,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
