Northrop Grumman's Space Sector (NGSP) sector is looking for a Deputy Program Manager (Manager, Programs Level 1) to support the Advanced Space Processing (ASP) Advanced Programs team onsite in Boulder, CO.
ASP supports a wide range of Intelligence Community and Department of Defense customers with cutting edge technology, while pursing rapid capability and software interoperability across current and future operational systems. ASP expertise includes mathematics, algorithm development, mission software, complex system integration, advanced research and development, embedded systems, and operations. Within the ASP Operating Unit, Advanced Programs is focused on designing and deploying multi-phenomenology, multi-domain data processing and fusion algorithms to a wide array of ground-based and distributed platforms.

What You'll Get to Do:
The primary objectives of the Deputy Program Manager are:

The delivery of all technical and contractual requirements on schedule and under cost.
Creating value through customer intimacy and development and execution of growth strategies.
Leading a cross-functional organization aligned to Division and Business Unit goals.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Establish and lead an organization that effectively addresses customer needs and incorporates internal and external partners.
Oversite of program budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools.
Ensure program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through disciplined process.
Conduct thorough risk & opportunity oversight including identification and mitigation.
Cultivate customer relationships to support program execution and to develop further growth opportunities.
Develop and execute long term strategic plans, capture planning, and development of proposals to drive department awards and sales growth.
Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.
Delivering presentations to customers, executive management, and other stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years or a Master's Degree and 3 years of program management experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and/or customers in other industries (Note: An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree).
Leadership (Project Management or Engineering) experience on contracts greater than $5M annually.
Experience in the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) markets.
Ability to monitor daily operations and actively assist, provide direct supervision to resolve complex cost, schedule, performance, and risk challenges.
Using established policies and precedents to adequately meet customer objectives.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools.
US Citizenship.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:

Current PMP Certification.
Experience in the Aerospace market with particular emphasis on data processing and fusion with emphasis on operations and/or technology transition.
Demonstrated experience recognizing and responding to customer needs in order to develop additional sales that support organizational objectives.
Proposal Management skills with the ability to oversee and facilitate the proposal process.
Strong personal verbal and written communications skills.

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,900.00 - $194,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
