The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a second level (level 2) Network Communications Manager to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems support team in Palmdale, CA.
Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Work with Network Architect and Senior Network Engineering Leads to coordinate team resources.
Take a key role in managing budgets for Network Engineering items including; (Hardware procurement, license and support sustainment, equipment refresh and upgrades)
Facilitate training and improvement of the Networking Teams' technical and leadership development.
Collaborate with Network Architect and Project Management Team in Interacting with internal key executive and customers on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and provide guidance and oversight to the employees to complete key deliverables/milestones.

The successful candidate must be customer-focused with proven leadership and excellent communication skills.
Functionally lead a team of approximately 12-15 Network Administrators, providing day to day operational leadership, oversight and allocation of resources. Perform quarterly connections, employees reviews, career coaching and compensation planning.
Serve as the focal point for all Network Engineering activity within the Program for both current and new business.
Work after hours and weekends as needed.
Travel as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's degree and 11 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 7 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 13 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree
Candidates must have an active DOD Top Secret level security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret/SCI clearance as a condition of continued employment in order to be considered
Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as condition of continued employment
Experience with network infrastructure and/or IT management
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in IS related field.
Active DOD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
DOD 8140 security certification (ex: Security+ or greater).
Current Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
Experience in and/or leading a technical environment such as IT, Engineering, or program/project management.
Experience with classified information systems security functions related to classified computing environments.
Prior experience working in a large WAN environments and successfully maintaining security posture/compliance.
Broad understanding of network topology, architecture, and operations.
Experience managing geographically diverse technical groups servicing multiple customers.
Experience working technical activities in a classified environment.
Experience troubleshooting network procedures and best practices.
Experience with network challenges associated with systems integration, including COTS integration, capacity analysis and system architecture design.
Experience with the use of network analysis tools (i.e. WireShark, Opnet, Ansible, etc.).

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
