Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager Mission Assurance 2. This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports Advanced Programs.

What You'll Get To Do:
The selected Mission Assurance Manager will be responsible for all Quality and Mission Assurance activities across the entire Advanced Programs portfolio (under the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division) in Roy, UT and will report to the ICBM Sustainment and Advanced Programs Mission Assurance Sr Manager. This MA Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Mission Assurance Engineers and Quality Inspectors who, together, support various Independent Research and Development (IRAD) efforts across the SDS division. Maintaining overall program compliance to industry and government standards and practices, while tailoring efforts to a rapid and ever-changing IRAD environment will be the primary focus of this individual's responsibilities and tasking.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
Leadership
• Leading and mentoring the Mission Assurance program team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
• Establishing Mission Assurance continuity, vision and direction across a portfolio of projects/programs with competing priorities and resources.
• Planning and monitoring work operations of individual contributors and actively assisting or providing clear direction using established policies, procedures, and practices.
• Leading and participating in root cause and corrective action analyses (RCCA) and failure investigations for high impact issues and mentoring personnel in the use of RCCA for lower-level issues.
Execution
• Establishing and maintaining compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications and customer requirements.
• Collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Mission Assurance and Global Supply Chain to ensure quality is inherent in every requirement, design, work product, and end-product delivered by Northrop Grumman.
• Identifying potential risks related to hardware and software products and developing mitigation strategies.
• Analyzing and identifying gaps in project/program requirements and helping to drive proactive solutions in a leading-edge technology arena.
• Managing non-conforming material life cycle (inspection through MRB disposition, customer notification, etc.).
• Developing and delivering quality-related content/presentations to program leadership and other stakeholders.
• Developing, modifying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. This includes devising methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment, conducting quality assurance tests, and performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Collecting, analyzing and reporting key performance indicator data/metrics and taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and improve performance.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
1+ years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against a schedule.
4+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems (AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP and government standards) and certifications
Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 lead auditor certification
Experience in identifying and driving operational/organizational change and excellence
Demonstrated ability in developing performance metrics to assess the health of key processes
Advanced level of understanding of complex quality policies, procedures, and governmental regulations and workflow
* Excellent oral and written communication, data analysis and problem-solving skills
Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
