Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.The Human Resources (HR) team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an HR Manager for our NG Microelectronics Engineering & Sciences organization at one of the facilities located in Annapolis Junction, MD or Linthicum, MD. This position has significant leadership contact and requires a candidate with strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to perform in an environment of ambiguity and continuous change. The ability to influence outcomes and inform decisions with the use of data is critical. This role will collaborate across peer HR managers to partner on critical business initiatives. The ability to navigate cultural and business sensitivities to drive stability and clarity will be critical for this role.

This position will drive and lead the planning and execution of various human resources initiatives and processes, such as employee engagement, succession planning, metrics reporting and data analysis. The role will collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders and cross-business team members to meet project deliverables. The role will support project tracking and team execution, drive the communication flow with all constituents to ensure project success and seek out and share best practices for continuous improvement. Additionally, this role will diagnose organizational needs and develop practical, creative/innovative, data-driven solutions to increase team and organizational performance and advance the business strategy.
The ideal candidate must be able to balance strategic thought with tactile execution, while consulting on, and assisting in, the implementation of HR strategy, programs, and policies in close partnership and collaboration with HR peers. Excellent project management skills, along with business acumen, leadership engagement, influencing capability, and high levels of emotional intelligence will be critical to success in this role. The successful candidate must think ahead to anticipate potential challenges and possess the ability to influence without direct authority to produce results/outcomes.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant progressive HR experience OR Master's with 6 years of experience. Will consider 12 years of relevant progressive HR experience in lieu of degree requirement.
Practical experience in multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, performance management and employee relations
Outstanding organization and project management skills with the ability to create project plans and manage the delivery of high-quality, on-time products in a dynamic environment
Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in an efficient and effective manner within critical deadlines
Proven ability to identify and proactively determine the best ways to address issues
Possess a strategic mindset; identify areas for improvement and bridge gaps between organizations to drive implementation of improvements
Ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion
Ability to leverage HR processes, tools and data/data analytics to accelerate business results and the employee experience
Demonstrated success in building or enhancing a collaborative culture; have the capacity to assess people issues impacting the business and develop/implement solutions.
Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information
Highly advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret SCI clearance
US citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong understanding of Northrop Grumman culture and demonstrated success effectively working within company's organization, processes, and procedures
Experience with domestic and international programs, operations and businesses
Experience in consulting / coaching senior leadership
Expertise in change management and strategic communication strongly preferred
Experience working in a matrixed environment
Demonstrated capability in process improvement implementation
Experience leading project teams
Strong proficiency with Workday
Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
