A Manager General Manufacturing 3 is a professional responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and timely production of aircraft. This role involves managing a team of subordinate supervisors, implementing production schedules, ensuring quality standards are met, and optimizing production processes to minimize costs and maximize productivity. The Manager General Manufacturing 3 works closely with other departments to ensure that aircraft are produced to meet customer demand, delivered on time, and meet the company's financial goals. They are also responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and complying with relevant regulations and industry standards. Overall, the Manager General Manufacturing 3 plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of the manufacturing and delivery process.
The selected candidate has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for leading the manufacturing activities of a given cost center within restricted programs, including quality, cost and schedule objectives and factory accountability along with other duties. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Essential Functions:
Lead, develop, coach, and provide direction to Front Line Managers (FLMs) and other production personnel in assembly and manufacturing areas
Influences & impacts strategy through his/her role Accomplishes results through subordinate supervisors, or exempt specialist employees.
Subject to approval, modifies the organizational structure of centralized functions and units.
Often responsible for managing a staff function of the company.
Responsible for all projects assigned to the organizational unit.
Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
Directly participates in establishing and administering many centralized functional projects.
Develop and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in critical delays and modifications to projects or operations; cause substantial expenditure of additional time, human resources, and funds; jeopardize future business activity.
Frequent contact with equivalent level managers and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarifications.
Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
Provides guidance to subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy.
Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organizations objectives and schedules.
Advanced level of understanding in a specialized field or general understanding of several diverse disciplines.
Involves a broad grasp of involved practices and procedures.
Requires frequent analysis of alternative courses of action.
Decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of influence.
Responsible for all projects assigned to the organizational group.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors and 7 years of experience in manufacturing or production, OR Associates degree and 9 years of experience in manufacturing or production, Or High School Diploma/Equivalent and 11 years of experience in manufacturing or production.
5 years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, and/or management role with direct reports.
Experience with the use and application of Shop Floor Control tool/metrics to manage Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost.
Must be willing to work any shift including Monday - Thursday - 1st shift (6:00 am - 4:30 pm) or 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 3:00 am) OR Friday - Sunday - 3/12 shift (6:00 am - 6:30 pm) as needed with the potential for extended work weeks as the business requires.
The ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD clearance and any required Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Aerospace experience in Final assembly
Active Secret DoD last investigated within the last 5 years.
Leadership experience in aerospace or a related industry supervising teams of 20+ employees
Experience leading subordinate managers
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and the ability to effectively communicate with various levels of leadership.
Understanding of SQDEC (safety, quality, employee, delivery, and cost) KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
Experience in full build manufacturing processes and material flow in new production
E-2D Manufacturing Manager experience

Salary Range: $121,300.00 - $181,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
