We are looking for you to join our team as a Cyber Systems Engineering Manager 2. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a candidate with outstanding leadership skills to fill a Cyber Systems Engineering Manager 2 position located in Annapolis Junction, MD.

This is a dual role encompassing both people leadership and direct technical performance. This position will manage a team that may support multiple programs, projects, and initiatives. The candidate will also have a senior technical performance role that will account for at least 80% of their time.
This position is 100% onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Responsible for the direct supervision/management of staff
Own planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large delivery order or mid-size contract
Provide direction to subordinates based on general policies and management guidance
Oversee projects and tasks assigned to the organizational group performed by non-exempt and/or exempt employees
Become involved when required to assist in meeting schedule deadlines or to resolve technical or operational problems
Interpret and execute policies and procedures that typically affect subordinate organizational units
Ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Function as an advisor to unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations
Frequent contact with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts
Conduct briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal external representatives concerning specifics operations
Technical Responsibilities:
Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software
Determine user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
Prepare operating instructions, lead Agile ceremonies, establish sprint, and release schedules based on the program release roadmap
Design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems
Ensure all capabilities and/or requirements are met
Basic Qualifications:
BS + 14 years of exp; MS + 12 years of exp: PhD + 9 years of exp is required.
Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph less than 10 years old required to start.
Experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams in roles of Product Manager or Product Owner
Proven leadership skills as a people and technical leader
Demonstrated Technical Leadership experience, leading a team of engineers in a development environment.
Experience with designing and developing new systems using Model Based System Engineering tools including CAMEO .
In Depth knowledge of SysML.
Experience with Jira
Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and coach other teammates.
Experience working with Software Development teams and Customer Stakeholders.
An ability to interface with external entities is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Cost Account Management (CAM) experience is desired.

Primary Level Salary Range: $156,500.00 - $234,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
