Northrop Grumman Space Systems- Propulsion Division is currently looking for a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to join our Facilities and Maintenance group supporting our manufacturing operations at our Clearfield, Utah facility.

Description & Responsibilities:
  • As a Maintenance Reliability Engineer, you will specialize in various types of automated mechanical/electrical components and manufacturing equipment/facilities.
  • Develop and implement machine monitoring strategies to support the reliability centered maintenance program to predict machine failures before they happen using vibration, temperature, and other variable analysis.
  • Review existing manufacturing equipment and becomes completely familiar with the OEM's manufacturing build protocol as it relates to machine function.
  • Provide emphasis to ensure that the correct preventative maintenance procedures are in place as it relates to the mechanical and electrical systems and recommend all critical spare parts to keep the plant operational on a 24/7 basis.
  • Work to ensure that all manufacturing equipment performs at their ultimate performance level and maintain a high level of machine uptime.
  • Considerable latitude for independent action and decision making.
  • Support our current facility and allow it to grow to the next level of operations and production.
  • Prepare presentations and reports detailing the Operational Equipment Effectiveness on assets you support.
  • Aid in developing standard specifications for future equipment purchases.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment.
  • Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace engineering degree.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, PowerBI.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance with capability for SAP access.
  • Ability to negotiate and consult with vendors as required to maintain and repair mechanical equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Reliability Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with PTC ThingWorx, Python, or other Industrial IoT technology.
  • Experience with CNC equipment and control system including Allen Bradly, FANUC, and Siemens.
  • Experience in installing, commissioning, supporting or maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Experience working in a manufacturing operation.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Position may be filled at higher level requiring 2 years of experience with Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Salary Range: $62,200 - $93,400
Salary Range 2: $75,300 - $112,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
