The selected candidate will support maintenance activities. This position falls under one of Northrop Grumman's Small Business Units, Sonoma Photonics, Inc. and will be located onsite in Santa Rosa, CA.

Essential Functions:
This candidate will need a thorough understanding of thin film optical coating machines, as well as vacuum, electrical, hydraulic and other systems:
Roughing and HV pumps
Programmable logic controllers (PLC)
Electrical and electronic controls
High power plasma and evaporation generators
Magnetron and cathode design
Vacuum gauges
Mass flow controllers
Machine shop equipment
Welding
Spares inventory
Computer programs including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
This position performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs, as well as new construction on plant facilities, and equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Maintenance Mechanic 3: 6 years recent work experience in the mechanical and thin film industry or related industry
Maintenance Mechanic 4: 8 years recent work experience in the mechanical and thin film industry or related industry
Knowledge and experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
Knowledge and experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing thin film precision tooling and processing equipment
Knowledge and experience with high pressure steam and condensate
Support general maintenance of vacuum and electro-mechanical equipment
Experience with welding, pipefitting, gear boxes, drive systems etc.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Flexibility in working different shift schedules

Salary Range: $64,600.00 - $107,600.00Salary Range 2: $76,800.00 - $128,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
