Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Maintenance Mechanic 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be on site in Melbourne, FL.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable working in a professional environment, and be able to collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of facilities or maintenance experience
- Hands on Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical experience
- Hands-on experience working on CNC's Mills, Water Jets, and types of Manufacturing Equipment
- Experience working with Hand and Power tools
- Comfortable working on computers - Maximo experience
- Flexibility to occasionally work off shifts and weekends when required
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance
- Hands-on Maintenance experience with Mechanical Systems
- Hands-on Experience with Plumbing
- Welding experience
- Hands-on experience with Generators and UPS's
- Fire system maintenance/modification experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Active, In scope DoD Secret or SCI clearance

Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
