Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Lab Technician - Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Lab Test organization. This position is located in Melbourne, FL.
In this role, you will be performing a variety of tasks that would be done in the lab including maintaining the lab, repairs, signing/building benches and putting together the different components required to make the benches.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Maintaining the lab environment and performing repairs.
Assembling and building benches and components.
Supporting development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
Working with analog, digital, and video circuits and logic systems.
Conducting routine testing, troubleshooting, prototype building, and developmental engineering tasks.
Performing operational tests and fault isolation to ensure conformance with design specifications.
Diagnosing and isolating malfunctions down to the component level.
Conducting engineering tests and collecting data.
Utilizing diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, VOMs, DVMs, and signal generators.
Performing as a lead technician when necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at a Lab Technician - Level 3 OR Lab Technician - Level 4 level based on the qualifications below.
Lab Technician - Level 3
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and off-shifts.
Demonstrated experience with avionics, electrical systems, fabrication, and/or wire and harness repair.
Lab Technician - Level 4
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of schematic diagrams and other engineering documentation.
Electrical certification

Primary Level Salary Range: $55,800.00 - $93,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $66,300.00 - $110,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
