International Privacy Operations Manager

This position will report to the Director, Data Governance & Strategy, within our Insights & Intelligence (i2) organization. This role can be based in either our Cheltenham or London offices.
Insights & Intelligence (i2) is reimagining decision making at Northrop Grumman. As part of our Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO), i2 works with all enterprise domains and businesses to drive our data, analytics & AI transformation.
As our International Privacy Manager, you will ensure policy and regulatory compliance, mitigation of business risk, and the responsible handling of personal data. You will champion privacy principles and collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders to co-create compliant solutions to drive the business.

Define and ensure necessary data controls to protect personal information.
Collaborate with business stakeholders across functions (Legal, AI Governance, Communications, Global Supply Chain, Cybersecurity, etc.) on privacy assessments of products, technologies, and vendors and proactively identify and address potential privacy concerns.
Investigate and resolve privacy-related inquiries, questions, and/or complaints.
Develop and implement initiatives to increase employee awareness and knowledge of key privacy topics including company policies
Establish and apply privacy best practices and mentor and train early career privacy professionals.
Managing Data subject Access requests
Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments
Advise on Data Processing Agreements and Cross Border Transfer Mechanisms.
Support US-based privacy initiatives as needed
Requirements:

Experience in Privacy, Data Governance, Data management, or relevant field operating in a global organisation
Knowledge of data protection laws and regulations and IAPP certification
Demonstrable experience of developing policies & procedures to meet Data Protection requirements, including GDPR legislation
Successful track record of identifying risk and developing effective mitigation and management strategies
Evidenced experience of implementing & managing Data Protection policies and procedures in a global organisation
Ability to engage effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, customers, and cultures spanning different organisations and locations
Strong organisational skills and proficiency in managing a diverse workload
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to build relationships and positively influence business decisions related to privacy.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
Travel requirements: Regular travel, both in the UK and overseas, particularly Europe, Middle East, and USA, to attend meetings and conferences and support project activities
Clearance requirements: The post-holder must be able to hold and maintain UK Government clearances
