Inspects the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to aircraft components, sub-assemblies and final product. Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May communicate directly with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job duties:
Perform inspections for testing activities on circuit card assemblies (CCA) and box-level assemblies
Confirm acceptable quality standards and workmanship practices are being utilized in assigned work centers
Practically apply process specifications and use applicable workmanship standards during everyday job functions
Generate nonconformance reports for discrepancies discovered during inspection processes.
Perform audits of work areas to ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS 9100 procedures
Perform in-depth reviews of engineering documentation for configuration and testing activities
This position can filled as an Inspector 2 or Inspector 3 depending on years of experience and qualifications.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma/equivalent
U.S. citizen
Minimum of 3 years (level 2) or 6 years (level 3) of relevant experience
Must be able to read engineering documentation and inspect to drawings and parts lists, inspection plans, test plans, and supplemental instructions
Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or inspection fields of electronic components or assemblies
Able to use Microsoft applications and ability to learn new computer programs/applications.
Above average technical writing skills
Previous experience inspecting to either NASA 8739 series or IPC/J-STD-001 for circuit card assemblies, or equivalent
Have held workmanship certifications at previous employment locations for manufacturing standards (e.g. IPC-A-620, NASA 8739 series, etc.)
Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekend support is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's (2 year) degree from accredited institution
Previous work in technical job field
Working knowledge of TIPQA and/or Costpoint database applications
Knowledge in how to read schematics
Previous experience working in ISO-certified company
Active workmanship certifications from accreditation/standards companies, such as IPC
Salary Range: $59,000.00 - $88,000.00Salary Range 2: $70,000.00 - $107,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
