Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking an Industrial Security Analyst to: join the Rancho Carmel, San Diego security team to support a fast-paced environment; create, maintain and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers. Administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Administers all classified information ensuring it is properly safeguarded, personnel security clearances are maintained, and aides the AFSO to maintain compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) government security requirements. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

Review and verify personnel security clearances, incoming and outgoing visit certifications
Administers procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to records and materials.
Maintains a comprehensive security education, training, and awareness program.
Maintains security tasks associated with Classified, Closed and Restricted Areas
Investigates security incidents and prepares reports to submit to CSA personnel.
Adheres to required security documentation to include OPSEC plans, CONOPS, SOPs, desktop instructions, and more.
Maintains accountability of classified material or classified media as required by contract(s).
Ensure the development, documentation, and presentation of classified security education, awareness, and training activities.
Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of Industrial Security or relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree; 0 years with a Masters; OR an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
Current Active Secret Level clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must have the ability to work 1st Shift and 9/80 schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Current Active SECRET with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Experience with DISS, NISS, SIMS, or similar data bases.
Working knowledge of DoD programs to provide procedural and policy guidance.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.
Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willing to work extended hours, in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, excellent communication skills speaking, writing skills and organized skills enabling effective communications.
Computer and desktop office software products experience.
Classification review experience
Self-starter with minimal supervision
Primary Level Salary Range: $70,600.00 - $105,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
