This role serves as a key resource for the AS Sector Engineering & Research & Advance Design Human Resources team. The HR Coordinator will provide support across a variety of human resource functional areas including: employee relations, talent acquisition, training and development, compensation, human resources policies and procedures, and metrics/reporting. The HR Coordinator will work on a variety of projects, supporting the entire HR team with administrative tasks and responsibilities to ensure that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. The functions performed by this role also include assessing processes for operational effectiveness as well as providing operational support to the HR team. The individual in this role will work very closely with HR Business Leaders and Partners providing quality support to the business.
Responsibilities in an administrative capacity will include but are not limited to the following:
Performs office functions such arranging meetings/conferences, preparing material, and setting up for meetings; answering phone calls and making proper referrals; receiving, referring, or answering mail to support 2-3 local HR Directors and Human Resource Business Partners.
Assists in maintaining the organization's collaboration electronic sites (Teams and SharePoint), and department and programmatic folders. Follows up on open actions to ensure deadlines are met, and gathers, compiles, and reports on information relevant to supervisor's assignments.
Makes domestic travel arrangements and prepares expense reports for 2-3 local HR Directors.
Assists in event planning and activities of major HR organization initiatives and reviews. Operates independently to meet requirements of leadership team and offers expertise to assist other functions within the organization.
Provides operational support for special projects; researches and obtains information, helps plan and ensure follow-through of assigned tasks.
May provide directional guidance to employees regarding policies and procedures.
Maintain Outlook meeting calendars for HR directors and necessary local conference rooms.
Schedule weekly/monthly/quarterly staff and town-hall meetings and be responsible for all logistics in executing a successful meeting.
Process relocation requests for internal movement of the Engineering and/or GSD organizations.
Coordinate Ryder mailings and pick up/drop off at Fed Ex as required.
Specific job responsibilities include:
Working with the HR Service Center on problem resolution
Assisting with developing and implementing HR programs and initiatives
Updating and interfacing with SharePoint
Collecting and compiling sensitive and confidential talent-related metrics and statistics and preparing reports
Assisting with employee communication initiatives and audits
Updating records
Managing, tracking, and processing talent movement and people related actions
Other duties may include support planning of events for HR organization and assisting the administrative assistant. The individual in this role may also serve on project or operational teams from time to time.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of administrative support/HR experience
Associate's Degree and 4 years OR Bachelor's Degree and 2 years related professional experience may be considered in lieu
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & OneDrive)
Passion for human resources, employee engagement, and the employee experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
Ability to work with large data sets
Project Management skills
Advanced Microsoft Office of Microsoft 365 skills
Workday or similar HR Information System experience
Proficiency scheduling and leading meetings in Zoom and Microsoft Teams
Salary Range: $51,200.00 - $85,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
