What You'll Get To Do:

This position will support the Sentinel Program's Command and Control (C2) Hardware Engineering team.

This position will join a team of Hardware, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers to design hardware systems and components.

This position will apply ASME standard processes and procedures to identify, design, and procure electrical and mechanical hardware.

This position will support design of electronic assemblies in accordance with decomposed hardware requirements, compliance documents, and architecture diagrams in order to support the Sentinel critical design review campaign.

This position will assist in trade studies, Analysis of Alternatives, and create design artifacts to include 3-dimensional models and product data packages which will be documented and released using Siemens- based Product Lifecycle Management (TeamCenter Unified) and modeling (NX) tools.

This position will be required to operate in and capture inputs from a multi-disciplinary engineering environment consisting of Systems, Software, Design, Compliance, and Hardware engineers.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either the Hardware Engineer level (T02) or Principal Hardware Engineer level (T03).

Hardware Engineer: * Bachelor's Science degree plus 2 years of experience; or a Masters degree with 0 years of work experience; or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Principal Hardware Engineer: Bachelor's Science degree plus 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or a PHD with 1 year of experience; or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required for Both Levels:

Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Must have at least 1 year of experience in generating 3-dimensional CAD models of electronic components and assemblies using tools such as Siemens NX

Must have at least 1 year of experience generating and releasing engineering artifacts into Product Lifecycle Management systems such as Siemens TeamCenter

Must have familiarity with the application of industry standards for mechanical modeling and engineering release such as ASME Y14.24

Experience interpreting supplier engineering drawings and specification sheets

Experience analyzing requirements and interface documentation

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

STEM Degree

Experience deriving hardware-level requirements from interface, compliance, and performance requirements

Understanding of SDS division hardware/mechanical design processes and principles, such as E110P and E275M

Experience designing and generating control drawings and assemblies of systems using commercially-sourced hardware components

Experience developing hardware design materials in support of program design reviews for review with team technical leads and program stakeholders

Experience conducting design reviews as the design author and briefing solution designs to program leadership and stakeholders for release into product baseline

Understanding of structural analysis concerns as applied to designing mechanical systems

Experience with Agile execution principles and tools, including Scrum, Kanban, and Jira

Colorado Location Pay Range:
Hardware Engineer: Min: $73,900 ; Max: $110,900
Principal Hardware Engineer: Min: $91,200; Max: $136,800

Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00Salary Range 2: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
