This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located in Promontory, Utah.

Role Description & Responsibilities:
• Developing and improving manufacturing processes
• Performing cause and corrective action activities to permanently eliminate defects
• Work within a team for concurrent engineering
• Author, update and review shop floor planning/move sheets
• Prepare and present technical presentations to leadership, and to the customers for review and approval
• Perform tabletop reviews
• Utilize SPC tools to ensure process control
• Develop and incorporate process improvements
• Troubleshoot production/tooling/facility issues and implement improvements and solutions
• Support design, checkout, qualification and implementation of new or modified tooling or equipment
• Review and author move plans that utilize the use of complex handling equipment (Cranes, Forklifts, Transportation Equipment, Lifting Beams/Slings, etc.)
• Ability to interpret stress analysis
• Provide leadership and expertise regarding handling systems
• Lead handling review team activities, present findings and obtain management/customer approvals
• Desire to take on special assignments to help other organizations
• Participate in mishap investigations
Skills & Qualifications:
• Self-Starter that takes initiative to complete tasks and assignments
• Good problem-solving skills and strong oral and written communication skills
• Good organization and multi-tasking skills
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Interpret blue prints, models, and specifications
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with NX and modeling
• Strong inter-personal and Customer Service Skills
• Experience with rigging, bridge and mobile cranes
Education/Certifications:
• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree with 2-4 years of experience or entry level with a Master's degree in engineering.
Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
