Firefighter 2 is certified firefighter with 2-4 years' experience. This position works a 48/96 schedule as part of a shift team. Successful candidate(s) will assist in providing fire prevention, protection, and a safe and effective emergency response to personnel and facilities. Other responsibilities include assisting in the administration of emergency medical treatment, inspection of building fire systems, conducting motor test standbys, burning ground standbys, training, flare drops, special assignments, animal control, evacuation drills and all other duties assigned.
Minimum Fire Department Requirements:
Must be able to work in confined spaces, elevated areas and hazardous locations wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Must be able to meet sight, hearing, and physical response comparable to NFPA 1582 chapter 6 and chapter 9.
• Current/valid driver's license
Firefighter 2 Minimum Requirements:
• Current State certification as Fire Fighter I, Fire Fighter II, Hazardous Materials-Operations
• Certified Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (Able to obtain Utah reciprocity within 120 days)
• 2-4 years of emergency response experience
Preferred Requirements (Candidates not possessing the following Utah State certifications must be willing to obtain certification within 24 months of hire or promotion from Firefighter 1):
• Utah Type 3 and 4 Fire Extinguisher certification
Utah Automatic Fire Sprinkler Technician II certification
Driver Operator Pumper
Hazardous Materials Technician
• Wildland Firefighter I
Salary Range: $43,000.00 - $71,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
