What You'll Get To Do:
The Field Technician 4 will perform a wide variety of tasks supporting the design, fabrication, prototyping, testing, integrations, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of specialty marine and engineering systems. There may be additional opportunities for the candidate to deploy at sea for varying durations to provide equipment support.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks on a wide variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems utilizing equipment such as microscopes, soldering equipment, fabrication equipment, hydraulic benches and coating system application
Perform testing of systems using applicable test benches, meters, gauges, dynamometers, and other tools as applicable.
Performs hands-on troubleshooting and corrective maintenance, to include fault isolation
Write documentation for production and maintenance procedures.
The employee may be asked to work other than regular working hours (may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays while on travel).
Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
Basic Qualifications for Field Technician 4:

HS Diploma and a minimum of 6 years related experience in a electro-mechanical environment.
Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI access and special program access. TS/SCI and special program access is required to start. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance and special program access for continued employment.
Must be able to perform physically demanding work, to include working in tight, restricted access spaces; must be able to climb 20 ft ladders and stand for long periods of time; must be able to lift 50 lbs to waist level.
Experience interpreting technical data, schematics, blueprints, and Standard operating procedures (SOPs) materials
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the described trade with experience in operating and maintaining equipment in a marine environment.
Certification from an accredited trade school in an electronics technician discipline (Military or Civilian).
Experience with welding to include TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), ARC (SMAW)
Active Top Secret Clearance with current SCI eligibility and ability to obtain program access.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication
Ability to pass basic DOT physical exam to obtain forklift and Category III crane license and pass proficiency tests
Licensed Forklift Operator
Ability to work in area/environments which may require the wearing of personal protective equipment such as respirators and safety eye wear.
Ability to pass the required physical and fit check for respirator qualification.
Desire to deploy with customer on a rotational basis
Primary Level Salary Range: $76,800.00 - $128,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
