We are looking for you to join our Airborne Multifunction Systems Field Engineering team as a Field Engineering Services Manager 1 based in Baltimore, MD. This position will support the Vader and LRR program activities that are part of the Tactical Surveillance Mission Platform operating unit. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Demonstrated abilities to build teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Field Engineering Services Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of our VADER and LRR program's Field Engineering staff both in the field and with our team based in Baltimore. You'll be leading a diverse team made up of approximately 10 Engineers and Field Specialists supporting the Sustainment operations of these systems for our domestic and future international stakeholders.
The candidate will work closely with other engineering disciplines, program managers, and Field Engineering leaders as well as the NGC Global Mobility Office who provides travel and assignment administration guidance. The ideal candidate will also be able to champion change within the organization, to achieve competitive advantage for the business.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 5 years of domestic or international technical field engineering experience; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree
An additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management, individual contributors and customers
Ability and willingness to travel. Overall travel is expected to be 10% or less for specific events as they are required.
Candidate must be a US citizen
Clearance: Candidate must currently have and be able to maintain an active/current U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Experience in/with global Field Engineering operations
Prior Experience with VADER and/or LRR radar sensors and platforms
* Integrate Product Team Lead and/or Cost Account Management experience
Salary Range: $102,400.00 - $153,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
