We are looking for you to join our team as a Field Engineer Level 2 or 3 for deployment to overseas locations.
What You'll get to Do:
Be part of The Triton Ground Segment Integrated Product Team (IPT) overseas. This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity for to work across a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced hands-on environment.
Be part of a deployment team and perform hands on technical tasks during ground system installation and integration activities.
Join a Field Engineering team supporting initial deployment, operations and maintenance of a complex airborne and terrestrial tactical communication system providing voice and data services in real world operations on the Triton program at various locations.
Work closely with several diverse Integrated Product Teams as well as provide guidance to manufacturing engineering, logistics and operations staff.
Quickly develop Triton ground segment system and process knowledge by working closely with the local design and production team.
Serve as the technical Support onsite during physical installs of ground segment systems. The environment consists of tightly controlled configuration managed system with attention to process definition. The onsite build up will consist of HW installation, Network configuration, Software deployment, customer audits and acceptance testing.
Work closely with the Military/Government customer as well as internal Northrop Grumman engineering teams.
Assist and develop proficiency with performance of other engineering and operational duties as required.
Maintain certifications and training of the most current and relevant technologies and aspects of a dynamic system with upgrades related to diminished manufacture supply (DMS) and new technologies.
This position may be filled as a Field Engineer Level 2 or Field Engineer Level 3
Basic Qualifications Field Engineer Level 2:
Bachelor of Science degree and 2 years experience; an additional 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Active TS\SCI Clearance required to start.
US Citizenship required.
Ability to maintain an active clearance.
Ability to be cleared to special access programs.
Current Security + CE, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire date.
Experience managing Windows Server OS, Linux flavor OS's and domain architecture.
Experience performing Windows and Linux System Administration tasks
Experience with Ground station systems and IT responsibilities associated with a ground station
Experience with trusted downloads from Classified systems
Familiarity with and performing field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of systems at customer locations on a flight line or in a hangar or within a command-and-control center.
Ability to support multiple networks, ensure necessary administration tasks are completed, and direct others as necessary.
Perform/support review and analysis of engineering schematics, supplier design data, support of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration on the Ground stations.
Familiarity with Aircraft Vehicle operations associated with Ground stations.
Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
Candidate will be required to work on extended assignments, 1yr or more (OCONUS) as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Broad experience with the operation, configuration, and maintenance of military communications systems and radios.
Strong knowledge of ALL the following: military tactical data links (Link 16, JREAP-C), radios operations (load, program, and troubleshoot), and RF theory.
Knowledge of VMF, SAT-J and/or JREAP.
Experience with operating radio equipment (PRC-117, Tactical Common Data Link) and general RF knowledge.
Experience with military aircraft operations.
Salary Range: $55,600.00 - $83,400.00Salary Range 2: $67,200.00 - $100,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
