Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a F-35 Principal Project Management/Sr. Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located on site in Palmdale, CA within the Global Supply Chain Organization.

Essential Functions:
Oversees and manages ongoing projects related F-35 Center Fuselage (CF) Production covering all Supply Chain-related aspects of the CF Statement of work (schedule, cost, quality, technical). Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving. Leads cross-functional project teams in support of execution of SOW. Interfaces directly with customer. Acts as CAM (Control Account Manager) for high value Control Accounts.

Schedule
Maintains Line of Balance visibility. Assesses schedule risks related to supplier deliveries and support of customer/program requirements. Directs cross functional teams to resolve issues. Makes recommendations on trades between schedule and cost.

Cost
Manages material Control Accounts related to the CF Statement of work. Duties include baselining, monitoring, material forecasting, variance analysis and potential audit support. Works with Material Cost Management, Subcontracts and Procurement to manage control accounts proactively and progressively. Makes recommendations on trades between cost and schedule.

Quality
Collaborate with Supplier Quality organization on improvement plans for qualifying CF suppliers to protect and improve overall quality performance on the program.

Technical
Collaborate with Engineering POCs and customer to ensure executable incorporation of changes and ensure successful implementation to project schedule

Basic Qualifications - Level 3 (Principal):
  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 6 years of experience or Masters Degree with 4 years of experience. Experience must in the any/combination of the following: supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning or accounting, OR High School Diploma with at least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning or accounting
  • Supply Chain experience on a production/manufacturing program
Basic Qualifications - Level 4 (Senior Principal) :
  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years of experience or Masters Degree with 8 years of experience. Experience must be in the any/combination of the following: supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning or accounting, OR High School Diploma with at least 14 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning or accounting
  • Supply Chain experience on a production/manufacturing program
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance in reasonable timeframe deemed by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supply Chain experience on a production/manufacturing program
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • MS/ Excel Skills
  • Aerospace manufacturing background
  • Knowledge of EVMS, familiarity with earned value concepts
  • CAM/SAP Skills
  • Presentation skills, including to high levels of leadership internally and externally to company
Salary Range: $88,700 - $133,100
Salary Range 2: $109,900 - $164,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
