Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Mission Assurance Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The Mission Assurance Manager 1 position will be located at either Volkel Air Base or Leeuwarden Air Base, Netherlands. The selected candidate may reside at either location but must travel to other location for oversite and training.
Your duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day-to-day workflow, and operating costs).

Build and develop a diverse and inclusive team with high levels of engagement.

Mentor and coaching on the F-35 systems and sustainment techniques.

Work closely with other team members such as engineering, global supply chain, test, integration, logistics, or manufacturing.

Responsible for the compiling of data in support of the End Item Data Package and for the selloff activities including the final presentation to the customer.

Ensure that tasks are completed on time following established procedures and schedules.

Corrective action review and reporting to include monitoring status of corrective and preventive actions and tracking through closure, reviewing/analyzing defect data, monitoring test problem report data and closure status, monitoring causal analysis and resolution.

Champion change within the organization, to achieve competitive advantage for the business.

Participate in Risk Management process and support team in identification of risks.

Supporting the Site Mangers to ensure program effectiveness.

Interfacing with customers to build trusted relationships and work through challenges.

Directing and coordinating mission assurance functional disciplines.

Functionally managing a team of 1-2 MA professionals, including training, professional development, staffing, and performance evaluation.

Establishing and maintaining a budget for MA staff to include budget for various certifications, training and internal auditing.

Overseeing the proper implementation and execution of Continuous Improvement programs.

Creating effective partnerships across all the client leadership teams: Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain as well as the Profit and Loss Organizations.

Setting the strategy to meet customer's expectations, regularly communicating program status. Assuring compliance in quality, risk management, safety, process improvement, subcontractors and supplier quality in accordance with contractual requirements.

Effectively communicate and collaborate with various Site Leadership personnel to identify and mitigate quality concerns.

The F-35 Manager Mission Assurance 1 will be responsible for defining and monitoring mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of the F-35 program in the Netherlands. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, and selloff of deliverable hardware are in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks and determines resources to ensure mission assurance. This is a contingent position based on customer approval, security and contract award.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED with 9 years of F-35 Sustainment experience, and be accepted by the Netherlands Government to work on customer aircrafts. Will consider a bachelor's degree and 5 years of applicable experience.

Must have at least a 3-year Supervisor/ Lead experience in F-35 Sustainment quality operations.

Demonstrated ability to teach and transfer knowledge of the F-35 platform to the customer.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical data.

Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

Able to meet the physical demands of this position, including regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics.

Experience in conducting audits and composing reports as necessary in performance of assigned duties.

Certified in F-35 Aircraft Systems Organizational Maintenance.

Inspections in aircraft modification or aircraft reset experience.

Salary Range: $107,300.00 - $160,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
