Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is seeking a Engineering Technician, Level 1 or 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. * This role is located in Melbourne, FL.
In this hands-on technical role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair test equipment. You will provide technical support and contribute to the development and improvement of our engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Provide comprehensive technical support to engineers across various projects, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and standards.
Work from diagrams, drawings, and parts lists to compile and interpret technical data, ensuring compliance with Northrop Grumman and Mil-Spec documentation.
Develop and refine processes and procedures for assemblies and material handling to enhance efficiency and quality.
Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies according to detailed specifications.
Analyze and design sequences of operations and workflows to improve operational efficiencies and productivity.
Work Schedule: This position operates on a 2nd shift schedule, working Monday through Thursday from 2 PM to 12:30 AM. Please note that hours and shifts are subject to change to meet customer demand. A shift differential will be paid where applicable.
Travel Requirements: Travel is estimated to be less than 10%.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at an Engineering Technician, Level 1 or 2 level based on the qualifications below.
Engineering Technician - Level 1

High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50lbs
Ability to operate company-owned motor vehicles
Ability to handle and assemble small parts
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) and the ability to obtain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Engineering Technician - Level 2

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.

Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50lbs

Ability to operate company-owned motor vehicles
Ability to handle and assemble small parts
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) and the ability to obtain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with Atlassian Suite, MS Word and Excel.
Experience with Cable Harnesses and Assemblies
Experience with Filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, and drilling.
Experience with measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions

Primary Level Salary Range: $39,500.00 - $65,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $78,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
