What You'll get to Do:
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
You will act as the lab owner for various engineering labs used in development of electrical and mechanical hardware. This position works under guidance and direction toward predetermined goals and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work is checked through consultation and agreement with others and by formal review of supervisor. This position is a highly collaborative effort working as a service to the larger engineering community for prototype builds, working to ensure EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) compliance, and for material/asset tracking and accountability.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Lab asset inventory control. Monitor assets moving between labs and updating asset tracking database in conformance with company and regulatory policies
Enter new assets into the asset tracking database
Stocking and ordering of lab consumable items
Work with instrument services for calibration of lab equipment and assets
Support asset inventory audits with property management and resolve/correct findings and deficiencies
Support EHS audits and resolve/correct findings and deficiencies
Develop/update lab work procedures, safety standards, MSDS books, maintain/update lab training records for staff
Ensure general cleanliness and orderliness of labs
Provide general engineering support for electromechanical items utilizing general shop equipment.
System/Sub-system prototype assembly and integration
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of additional education and/or related experience.
Interpret and comprehend engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Working knowledge of Multimeters and Oscilloscopes.
Knowledge of operating machine shop equipment such as soldering tools.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware/hardware components and provide timely solutions.
Communicate with team members and supervisors to address any issues, concerns, or improvement.
Must have the ability to use MS office products (Word, Excel, PPTX, etc)
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:

Perform Troubleshooting and Diagnosis of malfunctions down to component level
Bachelor's degree in technology / manufacturing field
Understanding of hazardous waste handling
Ability to use DVOM, O-Scopes and general electronic equipment
Ability to solder small and fine pitch components in Pb or Pb-free
Active DoD clearance
Salary Range: $54,400.00 - $90,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
