Specific responsibilities:
This role will be on the Product Engineering sub-team of Propulsion Engineering responsible for supporting production programs. Responsibilities will include:
Maintain approved Technical Data Package (TDP)
Provide Material Review Board (MRB) support for all product and material issues
Establish/Maintain Engineering Bill of Materials (BOM)
Establish product Key Characteristics, and monitor
Review/approve product manufacturing work instructions and ensure compliance with TDP requirements
Provide technical interface with customers and vendors
Technical member of Integrated Product Team (IPT)
Establish requirements for material obsolescence replacement/qualification/test/implementation
Provide technical support to sub-contractors (may require travel to monitor processes and participate in audits)
Conduct Failure Analysis Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action activities
Review product acceptance test data and analyze for trends
Support Program Office proposal activities (Generation of Bill of Material, labor estimates, and Basis of Estimate documentation
Conduct Product/Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Transition of product from development phase to production phase
Basic Qualifications for a level 4:
STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Degree required. Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering degree preferred.
Experience:
8 years of related work experience with a BS
6 years of related work experience with a MS
4 years of related work experience with a PhD
Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.
Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
