Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an LSA\Maintainability Engineer 3 or 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located onsite in Palmdale, CA.
Accomplish You will perform supportability engineering and integration tasks relating to Product Support IPTs, and represent Product Support in interaction with Design Engineering and IPT support. Prior experience in systems engineering, system design concepts and/or maintenance of avionic or RF Systems, (including Communications, Navigation, RADAR, digital and analog systems) is required. You should have knowledge of design and database tools, and possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists. You will be expected to lead the team into a database revolution, utilizing existing tools and knowledge of other databases to best streamline the process without increasing risk.
Essential Functions:
Identify, analyze, quantify and influence logistics requirements to support the weapon system including spares, Support Equipment, technical data, training, facilities, and personnel
Interface with vehicle engineering to influence designs for supportability
Generate, control, and assign Logistics Control Numbers for maintenance significant items
Guide team to the use of databases to improve respond time to program analysis requests
Perform detailed maintenance task analysis
Determine overall weapon support system requirements for sustainment
Initiate and perform trade studies

Basic Qualifications Engineer Level:
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related engineering OR a Master's Degree in STEM
Previous work experience in Reliability, Maintainability, Logistics Support Analysis, and/or Technical Publications
Previous work experience in using a database to manage and manipulate data
Experience with following GEIA-0007 and/or S1000D standard(s)
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated DoD Secret clearance or higher, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Basic Qualifications Principal Engineer Level:
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related engineering experience OR a Master's Degree in STEM and 3 years of related engineering
Previous work experience in Reliability, Maintainability, Logistics Support Analysis, and/or Technical Publications

Experience with following GEIA-0007 and/or S1000D standard(s)

Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00Salary Range 2: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
