Successful candidates for this position will work in a technical role for space and ground programs in Dulles, VA. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting, cutting-edge programs and new mission areas in the following areas to support next generation space capabilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Ability to capture core concepts and instructional needs from a large amount of technical data (ground and space hardware) and communicate technical concepts to an audience of non-subject matter experts with varying levels of domain experience
Be self-directed and able to envision the end state of the product and take initiative to drive product development to closure
Work with tools such as MATLAB, STK, and Cameo
Assist in system-of-system trades, modeling, simulation and analysis to assess space mission architecture alternatives for delivering a customer mission effect, data or capability as it fits within a broader campaign
Support capture activities, including RFI/RFP preparation, customer presentations and demonstrations, and competitor analysis
Support the following program activities:
CONOPS and Mission Analysis
Systems Level Integration and Test
Mission Modeling and Simulation
Verification and Validation
Resource Logistics and Execution
Mission Operations Support
Model Based Systems Engineering

This position will expose the candidate to equal parts technical competency, forward thinking ideas, and execution focus. This position utilizes abilities to interact in an organized and solutions-oriented manner, with external entities who are contributing elements of the integrated ground and space segment.
This position requires being onsite and does not support remote work.

Basic Qualifications:

B.S. in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related area and 2 years of experience; M.S. in STEM or related area and 0 years of experience.
Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices
Experience in requirements management, system architecture development, and CONOPS.
Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret and SCI security clearance at time of application
Preferred Experience:

Experience with a space or ground system development program
Experience presenting to customers
Experience working with a cross-discipline team
Experience in mission design, satellite ground software, distributed modeling & simulation
Ability to architect with MBSE and tie analysis products to model behavior
Understanding of system of system architecture designs the interplay between various national security customers and products
Mission system requirements, verification/validation planning, mission planning/execution, mission analysis, modeling/simulation, system trade studies, and expertise with various engineering tools such as MATLAB, STK, and similar tools
Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
