What You'll Get to Do:
Process Development:
Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes with a focus on production capabilities, quality, and schedules.
Monitor process yields and cost.
Develop and optimize automated equipment process parameters.
Create and manage project plans (tasks, resources, and schedules).
Develop and revise process documentation and work instructions.
Production Support:
Solve manufacturing problems related to materials, designs, equipment, tooling, training, and instructions.
Disposition non-conforming materials and specify rework and repair processes.
Create and document designs for custom tooling and fixtures.
Equipment Support:
Specify, justify, and procure new manufacturing equipment.
Equipment startup and production readiness.
Responsible for equipment maintenance, service schedules, and spare parts.
Design and Engineering Support:
Participate in design manufacturability reviews for new products.
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate written, verbally, and have knowledge of using Microsoft Office Suite. The position may be filled as an Engineer Manufacturing or Principal Engineer Manufacturing.
Basic Qualifications for the Engineer Manufacturing:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM related discipline with 2 years related experience; OR Master's Degree in Engineering or STEM related discipline with 0 years of experience.
Experience with mechanical and/or electronic manufacturing/production processes.
Experience with interpreting 2D drawings and 3D models.
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Basic Qualifications for the Principal Engineer Manufacturing:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM related discipline with 5 years related experience; OR Master's Degree in Engineering or STEM related discipline with 3 years of experience
Experience with mechanical and/or electronic manufacturing/production processes.
Experience with interpreting 2D drawings and 3D models.
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electronics manufacturing processes and equipment.
Experience programming automated microelectronics and circuit card manufacturing equipment.
Experience with equipment, materials, and processes for manufacturing precision wound coils and their encapsulation.
Experience with a variety of industry standards (including but not limited to IPC-610, J-STD, 7711/7721, MIL and ANSI).
Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Experience with analyzing data and figures.
Experience with Solidworks, NX and Autocad.
Experience working with SAP and Teamcenter in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
