Position Overview:
The Electronics Engineering Manager 2 reports to the Triton Test IPT Lead, Triton System Center Lab Manager and the Triton Test IPT Development Lead. The programmatic duties include but are not limited to: supporting coordination and planning on ongoing and future Triton Development proposals. The Triton STE Lead will also work across IPTs and schedule the assets in the Triton System Center in order to drive integration and test execution efforts across Triton Sustainment and Development. This includes overseeing the development, checkout and formal execution of SYSIII Test Procedures, ensuring the timely CDRL delivery of formal Test Summary Reports; doing so may also involve active participation in test execution to meet program schedule. The Triton STE manager is also responsible for ensuring appropriate Lab Operations staffing support across first, second, and weekend shifts. Responsibilities also include working across IPTs to ensure that the integration schedule timing meets the integration needs for both Test and other Triton IPTs. The Triton STE Manager is also responsible for overseeing the development and release of the Integrated Test Plan as well as Test Readiness and Post Test Readiness Review presentations for each applicable IFC, maintaining Test Like You Fly testing methodologies in SYSIII testing as well as maintaining the TLYF database for any exceptions taken defining limitation in Lab Test that could result in different system performance during SYSIV Testing. Finally, The Triton STE Manager is expected to participate in Weekly Wall Walk and daily Hot-wash meetings as well as any other meeting required to drive progress on Triton Programmatic efforts.
Functional Manager responsibilities include working closely with the Systems Test Engineering Department Manager and fellow section managers to implement department and center initiatives, ensuring successful planning and execution of program test engineering activities, collaborating with programs to satisfy staffing needs and provide operations support (incident investigations, metrics collection and analysis, etc.), setting Workday goals and providing regular performance feedback to 10-15 employees, supporting the annual salary review and promotion process, mentoring and developing the next generation of technical leadership, and improving and implementing test engineering processes and procedures. The Section Manager duties will require 15-20% of the manager's time.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be capable of working in a matrix environment with multiple sources of management guidance. Candidates must be able to support extended shifts, occasional weekends, and holidays. Occasional travel to other Northrop Grumman sites will be required.
Key Responsibilities:

Drive process rigor, ensure compliance to meet company, program, and security requirements

Drive technical and process rigor for lab configuration

Continually seek to improve lab integration & test engineering rigor and efficiency

Develop and execute System Level 3 Test Procedures to verify system requirements, and validate the System Under Test (SUT)

Interface and present test integration and test execution results to program and test leadership at Pre and Post Test Reviews

Work independently on assigned tasks to meet deadlines on one or more test programs

Flexibility to support weekends, multiple shifts, and off hours on site

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional experience OR a master's degree in STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional experience

Must have prior manager or leadership experience

Must have Lab Test experience

Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance with full investigation within the last 6 years
Ability to obtain and maintain Access (PAR) as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:

3 years in lead or Manager position

Extensive experience developing and executing System level test procedures

Understanding of Agile Test methodology

Previous experience with System Level Lab Test Execution, test planning and coordination of events

Previous experience with hot bench and overall lab operations support

Willingness to travel up to 10% in support of ground and flight test events

Understanding of verification program and metrics maintenance

Proficiency in Control Account Management (CAM)

Salary Range: $156,500.00 - $234,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
