This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization.

The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working closely with other engineers and technicians in a lab-like environment to integrate, test, and troubleshoot software/hardware systems in complex IT systems.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide software, hardware, and system support to on-site end-users as well as engineering technical support for peer teams.
Support the IPT with software defect resolution and enhancement efforts
Engineer and test new technical solutions in lab environments, technical requirements, and/or bug fixes
Integrate and install system cabling and rack equipment IAW engineering specifications
Develop and maintain Microsoft PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripts
Work with IT automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and/or Packer
Experience administrating Container Technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker) in a production environment
Work with IT systems that include NetApp storage, Cisco network devices, Cisco servers, and Dell equipment
Work with operating systems and features such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows and Windows Server, Active Directory, and/or Group Policy Management
Work with virtualization products such as VMware ESXi, VMware Horizon or virtual desktop infrastructure, and vCenter
Maintain COTS Hardware, Software configuration matrix, technical installation, configuration, update and release procedures, and automate installation of COTS software
Document and maintain system configurations and compatibility with existing architectures when implementing system enhancements
Implement engineering changes to the system as required
Design and implement VMware high-availability virtualized infrastructures
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
This position may be filled at either the Electronics Engineer - Data Center or Principal Electronics Engineer - Data Center level depending upon the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Electronics Engineer - Data Center:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8140 approved IAT Level II (or higher) compliant certification. Examples include: CCNA Security, Security+CE, CCNP, and CISSP. This certificate must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Demonstrated experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
Demonstrated experience with VmWare
Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. This SAP must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. (Of note: Additional SAP clearance may be required once in role.)

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8140 approved IAT Level II (or higher) compliant certification. Examples include: CCNA Security, Security+CE, CCNP, and CISSP. This certificate must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Demonstrated experience with Windows and Linux operating systems

Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00Salary Range 2: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
