What You'll Get to Do:

This position will support the Sentinel Program's Command and Control (C2) Hardware Engineering team.

This position will join a team of Hardware, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers to design hardware systems and components.

This position will apply ASME standard processes and procedures to identify, design, and procure electrical and mechanical hardware.

This position will derive requirements from parent specifications, compliance documents, and architecture diagrams in order to identify candidate hardware.

This position will perform trade studies, Analysis of Alternatives, and create design artifacts which will be documented and released using Product Lifecycle Management tools and technologies.

This position will be required to operate in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment consisting of Systems, Software, Design, Compliance, and Hardware engineers.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in STEM field plus 2 years of experience; or a Master's degree in STEM field

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

Experience working with mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic systems

Experience reading engineering drawings and specification sheets

Experience analyzing requirements and interface documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

Experience deriving hardware-level requirements from interface, compliance, and performance requirements

Experience interpreting and generating PDPs using CPLM or equivalent PLM toolset.

Understanding of hardware/mechanical design processes and principles, such as E110P and E275M

Experience generating engineering drawings including VICDs and SCDs

Experience designing or implementing systems using COTS hardware components

Experience performing trade studies and vendor analysis to evaluate competing hardware designs

* Experience translating functional and performance requirements into hardware component solutions

Colorado Pay Range:
Min: $81,300.00
Max: $121,900.00
Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
