The Northrop Grumman Weapon Systems (WSD) Division is seeking a Director of Global Supply Chain 2 to join our team located in Linthicum, MD or at one of our major sites Northridge, CA, Elkton, MD, Rocket Center, WV or Plymouth, MN. This position will lead the Global Supply Chain organization for the division. The selected candidate will lead the Global Supply Chain across multiple sites and multiple markets in creating differentiated solutions to our U.S. and international customers' toughest challenges, including Advanced Propulsion, Tactical Munitions, and Advanced Weapons. The Weapon Systems Division is a leading global provider of defense solutions to enable decision-making and defeat advanced threats, while supporting military operations and readiness.
This position will be accountable and have the authority for the operational efficiency, strategy, planning and execution of Global Supply Chain material and services requirements. The position will also be the focal point for the division GSC functional homeroom, and will coordinate cross-functionally to ensure that all GSC commitments are met and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks, issues and/or opportunities related to GSC and the suppliers. This position will also be charged with the development of the material strategy and will lead activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process.
Responsibilities:
Lead Matrixed organization of approximately 375 employees
Provide leadership for the GSC organization in a matrixed environment, ensuring strategies and plans are aligned with the business areas with a strong focus on mentoring leaders across the GSC functions
Identify and quickly address supply chain impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the business and/or program
Drive affordability initiatives and opportunities
Champion for leaders and all team members of the supply chain organization
Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all supplier content
Manage supplier relationships and support negotiations for major subcontract and large procurement suppliers
Coordinate planning, budget management, and execution of supplier events
Total Cost Management of GSC budget allocations
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with at least 15 years experience or Masters degree with at least 12 years of experience in supply chain management, program management, operations, or business management
Must have 4 years of experience leading in a matrixed environment
Must have Cost Account Management experience
Must have Aerospace & Defense experience
Demonstrated experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team, or cost account manager
At minimum, an active DoD Secret level clearance is required to apply and to start the role
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience developing supply chain strategies to improve the performance of the supply chain, reduce reliance on single source suppliers, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks of supplier issues.
Experience developing and presenting executive-level briefings
Solid understanding of supply chain metrics and key performance indicators
Robust risk management experience
Solid understanding of supply chain metrics and key performance indicators
Extensive supplier management experience

Salary Range: $184,600.00 - $320,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
