We are looking for you to join our team as a Digital Design Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA As a Digital Design Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You’ll get to Do:

 

This Digital Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and real-time verification of hardware/firmware elements and related computing systems for an existing development program. Candidate is required to be knowledgeable in verification, proficient with Test Bench generation in UVM or System Verilog. Candidate will have knowledge of DO254 process and artifact generation for DO254. The candidate will possess strong communication skills as he or she will interface with our development program leads, senior scientists, engineering and manufacturing organizations throughout the program lifecycle. The individual will also have technical foresight to integrate the appropriate requirements, processes, procedures and tools as this development program will lead to the future generation of navigation, video & cockpit products.

Qualifications

 

This requisition may be filled at either a base or a Principal Level. 

 

Basic Qualifications for the Digital Design Engineer:

 

  • Bachelor's in a STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience, a Master's in a STEM field with 0 years of relevant experience.
  • High Speed Digital Design; FPGA, SoC, and/or memory design experience
  • Knowledge of Test bench development, and/or V&V processes
  • Communication, team building and facilitation skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team, upper management and customers.
  • Knowledge of design processes including hardware requirements definition, conceptual design, detailed design, verification, production transitioning.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance

 

Basic Qualifications for the Principal Digital Design Engineer:

 

  • Bachelor's in a STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience, a Master's in a STEM field with 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 0 years of experience
  • High Speed Digital Design; FPGA, SoC, and/or memory design experience
  • Knowledge of Test bench development, and/or V&V processes
  • Communication, team building and facilitation skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team, upper management and customers.
  • Knowledge of design processes including hardware requirements definition, conceptual design, detailed design, verification, production transitioning.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience and knowledge on RTCA/DO-254 designs

  • System Verilog & UVM

  • Digital Signal Processing design and verification experience

  • Computer Architecture knowledge (bus standards, interrupts, memory

  • Sensor designs (Fixed point logic, algorithm implementation)
