Northrop Grumman is seeking a qualified and experienced Consulting Systems Engineer or to join the Systems Engineering Integration & Test group under the Tactical Fighters Business Unit. Candidate should have a very strong Systems Integration and technical lead background. This position would be based in Linthicum, MD., which requires being onsite, and does not support remote or hybrid work.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Working and consulting on multiple programs across all aspects of System I&T.
Includes test plan/procedure development, product Qualification testing (Environmental, EMI/EMC, and Electrical Power), System ATP development and execution/sell-off, flight test.
Performs Environmental, EMI/EMC, and Electrical Power testing, analyzing, mitigating and troubleshooting from components to systems level.
Regularly takes a leadership role in providing insight and knowledge transfer to others on internal and external technical solutions to solve complex problems.
Product integration, regression, and verification testing including checkout in system test labs.
Provides technical leadership, direction, and mentoring to other technical employees in the application of systems engineering principles, tools, and techniques to achieve practical results.
This position is contingent upon transfer of DoD Secret Clearance with Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.*
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 16 years of experience, a Master's degree with 14 years of experience or a PhD with 12 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
U.S Citizenship is required.
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher and Special Program Access (SAP) is required
10 years of technical experience in systems engineering and integration of complex systems, including systems development, manufacture, test, product Qualification testing (Environmental, EMI/EMC, and Electrical Power), operations, including previous technical or project leadership positions.
Strong collaboration skills with experience working across BUs, divisions, and sectors as well as strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
12 years experience as Systems I&T technical Lead of complex systems, to include systems development, integration and test and sell-off, manufacture, product Qualification testing (Environmental, EMI/EMC, and Electrical Power), including hardware and software test implementation.
Ability to review and tailor Environmental, EMI/EMC, Electrical Power, System ATP and Flight test requirements to meet specified product and system performance.
Experience integrating multiple engineering specialties and stakeholders across multiple Teams and Suppliers
Experience leading the performance of technical tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as either a chief engineer or technical lead.
Experience with tailoring Mil Standards to meet system performance requirements during product Qualification testing. (Mil Standards 810x, 461x, 740x, etc.)

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Salary Range: $197,500.00 - $296,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
