The selected candidate will be aligned to the Global Command and Control Solutions Engineering Organization. The primary place of performance for this position will be in Rome, NY.

The individual selected for this role must have extensive experience designing detailed platform solutions including trade studies, cost, schedule, and technical aspects. Additionally, the individual will design and develop system architectures and define key capabilities and performance requirements. Other responsibilities of this role include defining design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications. The individuals will also be responsible for developing, designing and implementing architecture through definition of system external interfaces. This position will also be responsible for defining system implementation approaches and operational concepts and will work closely with the customer to ensure requirements are met and will evaluate performance with customer.
The individual selected for this role must also have experience leading teams who have deployed the following technologies and capabilities:

Tactical and strategic/back-haul voice and data communications, including Tactical Data Links
Sensor integration
Military Commercial cloud integration
Microservices/Containerization/Kubernetes & service mesh/routing
Commercial cloud (e.g. AWS and Azure), hybrid cloud, and edge cloud architectures
LINUX-based & Windows based systems
Commercial cloud (e.g. AWS and Azure), hybrid cloud, and edge cloud architectures
Voice & Data Networks
Network Management
Encryption
Cross-Domain solutions
Modern authorization / ICAM / Zero-Trust architectures
Data management/synchronization
CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery/Deployment)
MOSA approaches
The individual performing in this role may have travel up to 25%.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 10+ years' experience as a software engineer and 5+ years' experience as a systems architect
5+ years' experience integrating Systems of Systems
5+ years' experience with operational US military systems deployed into the tactical echelon
5+ years' experience conducting (i.e. verbal and written) presentation to external customer or internal executive leadership
5+ years' experience designing detailed, platform solutions including trade studies, cost, schedule, and technical aspects
US Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years' experience with Enterprise Application development and deployment processes
5+ years' experience with USAF operational and tactical CONOPS
5+ years's experience tactical military IT systems in production use (e.g., exercises)
5+ years' experience executing SAFe agile processes
5+ years' experience with Cameo and/or Magic Grid-based MBSE modelling
10+ years' experience conducting (i.e. verbal and written) presentation to external customer or internal executive leadership
10+ years' experience designing detailed, platform solutions including trade studies, cost, schedule, and technical aspects
Salary Range: $188,100.00 - $282,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
