We are seeking a self-starting, motivated Configuration Analyst or Principal Configuration Analyst to join our dedicated field engineering team in Oxnard, California. This team is responsible for designing, developing, testing, delivering, and operating advanced prototypes and unique marine systems.

What You'll Get To Do:

The Configuration Analyst or Principal Configuration Analyst will have the opportunity to perform configuration management activities through various phases of the engineering life cycle for complex systems in a customer environment. This will involve planning and coordinating existing engineering document control through various phases to ensure customer contract requirements are met. The candidate will review documentation required through various project phases, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. The candidate will also coordinate modification of records for management control, engineering changes, and perform detailed data entry.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Support configuration data management using CM tools

Maintain a systematic change management process by generating configuration management documents and support engineering change control

Maintain and ensure accuracy of the CM engineering database through detailed data entry and accurate records keeping

Produce new configuration management process documentation as required

Prepare documents for archival and maintain archived records as required

Basic Qualifications for Configuration Analyst:


Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 0 years of experience.

2+ years experience using Excel including creating reports, spreadsheets, and tables and proficient in manipulating data and formats of spreadsheets.

2+ years experience of configuration management or change control experience

2+ years experience with Microsoft Office Suite

US Citizenship Required

Must have a minimum of an active Top Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain SCI access and Special Program Access (SAP) prior to starting. Must be able to maintain the level of clearance and program access for continued employment.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Configuration Analyst:


Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.

3+ years experience using Excel including creating reports, spreadsheets, and tables and proficient in manipulating data and formats of spreadsheets.

3+ years experience of configuration management or change control experience

3+ years experience with Microsoft Office Suite

US Citizenship Required

Must have a minimum of an active Top Secret Clearance and with the ability to obtain SCI access and Special Program Access (SAP) prior to starting. Must be able to maintain the level of clearance and program access for continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with complex databases and industry tools (SAP, Seimens Teamcenter, Widchill PLM, Autodesk Vault, Solidworks PDM, etc.)
Experience as a configuration management database administrator

Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to project plan and execute

Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management

Demonstrated independent planning, organization, and working in cross-functional teams with both internal and external customers.

Proven written/communication and analytical skills and proven ability to handle detail-oriented work processes.

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
