This leadership role is located in El Segundo, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
Plan complete sequence of operations, layout, fabricate and assemble all types of tools.
Build tools with compound angles and complex mold line contours.
Establish and coordinate close tolerance holes, edges, and reference points between tools as required.
Perform surface table and/or tooling dock set-ups using optical instruments and measuring devices on tools requiring the coordination, location, and installation of features and/or details in relationship to station, but, and/or water line dimensions.
Suggest improvements and/or changes in design and fabrication processes involving practicality, economy, and/or quality and submit them to appropriate personnel.
Interpret complex tool designs, sketches, and engineering drawings. Have working knowledge of shop math to calculate missing or undetermined information including trigonometry to resolve unknown dimensions.
Operate various machine equipment and transporting equipment necessary to complete assignments as required.
Make pours for parting planes and removable details. Use resin systems for building up material, potting bushings, and other necessary tooling procedures.
Fabricate patterns, mold lines, trim edges, trim guides, hole patterns, reference lines and other features for composite production tooling,
Perform rework of the same level of difficulty as the work prescribed herein.
Rework all types of tools with regard to mold lines, trim lines, and other features by using the parent material of the affected tool.
Basic Qualifications:
Composite Production Tool Builder
Must have a high school diploma/GED AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in manufacturing, aerospace, tooling, and/or fabrication industries/experience
Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required) as well as the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special Access
Must be available to work any shift
Composite Layup and Composite Repair Capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with tool kitting and crib inventory/management
Experience working with CribMaster or similar
Composite Production Tool Builder SR.
Must have a high school diploma/GED AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in manufacturing, aerospace, tooling, and/or fabrication industries/experience
Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required) as well as the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special Access
Must be available to work any shift

Salary Range: $25.16 - $44.18Salary Range 2: $29.57 - $47.81The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
