In this role you will be responsible for the overall development of all software architecture and deliverable products, drive critical technical solutions, inform robust risk and opportunity management and support strategic initiatives, ensuring operational performance and sustainability for delivered products. Candidate will provide technical leadership to the various software product teams by setting the technical direction for the team to execute, guiding the flow down and decomposition of system level architecture/requirements, guiding software design approaches and decisions and guiding all phases of software testing from unit test to qualification test. Candidate will ensure the effective execution of an AGILE-focused software lifecycle process, and support tracking and reporting all relevant metrics to the IPT. Candidate manages cross-team coordination of software architecture such as requirements, design, ICDs, and DevOps environment. Candidate will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with peers and top leadership and briefing executive and customer leadership. The CSA will manage software process such as the Software Development Plan (SDP), peer reviews, and any other software processes that are used by the classified program. CSA will manage the technical baseline, requirements, design, and models.
Contingencies: Contract award. Requires an active DoD Secret (or higher) level clearance and program access on Day 1.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical direction for all software product activities for a team of engineers employing an AGILE-focused process
Oversee the activities of the software product-level review boards and ensure its efficient functioning
Guide all product-level software verification and release activities within the larger program schedules
Primary software technical representative for product integration and capability deliveries
Primary software technical representative at all cross-IPT and cross-pillar meetings
Primary software technical representative at reviews with senior management and Customer stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university, 16 Years of experience with Bachelors in Science; 14 Years of experience with a Masters; 12 Years of experience with a PhD.
Must be a US Citizen.
Experience designing, developing, integrating, verifying and qualifying real-time embedded computing systems including experience with software and systems engineering.
Experience and demonstrated ability to lead the development of large software projects including job analysis, new product design, system architecture, software development, system integration and working with customers and other stakeholders to perform requirement definition
Position requires at minimum an active DoD Secret clearance to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a full secret level security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP)
Experience developing in multiple programming languages
Experience with embedded operating systems
Experience with Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, IEEE-1394b, RS-232/422/485 databus integration
Experience developing and executing IFC development
Experience managing Agile software product team and delivering periodic releases in a process-driven environment for a government customer
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous lead software architect experience on a medium-to-large program
Previous experience with anti-tamper and other cyber resiliency techniques used to create, protect and execute trusted software
Experience with developing and integrating Open Mission System (OMS) ICD and Service Contract development
DO-178B and MIL-HDBK 516 Airworthiness process knowledge
Git source control knowledge and Atlassian Suite (Jira, BitBucket, etc) knowledge
Real-Time Component Framework (RTCF) knowledge
Experience with containerization and container orchestration
Knowledge of AFSIM, NGTS, and DIS model and simulation tools
Knowledge of AMS GRA
Systems Engineering and Cameo Modeling
Sensor and Comms Experience
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a large team environment in both leadership and individual contributor roles.
Salary Range: $178,600.00 - $268,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
