We are looking for you to join our Program Scheduling and Compliance Center of Excellence as an Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst based out of Buffalo NY. This position may be staffed as a Hybrid role.

What You'll Get to Do

The Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst interfaces with Program Managers, Engineering, Operations and Business Management to develop program plans, analyze cost and schedules. The selected candidate will perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks. The Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst will prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis. They are tasked with preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.

The Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. They will also incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines. Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst perform analyses and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. They are tasked with setting up the cost control system, monitor, control cost and schedules on contracts requiring a validated cost schedule control system.

Associate Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst are hired directly into our Scheduling Center of Excellence and placed on programs within the Mission Systems (MS) Sector. The MS Scheduling organization focuses on skill development and, most importantly, creates a pathway for professional development and progression. The Center of Excellence provides training within a standard, common tool suite that allows for speed, productivity and integration while facilitating compliance and focusing on program execution.

This is a hybrid position. One must be willing to come into the office at least three days per week.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 1 year of related work experience or a Master's degree with 0 years of related experience.
  • Will consider 5 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Project scheduling experience using Microsoft Project, Oracle P6, Deltek Open Plan or other related scheduling tools.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, or related field
  • Experience using Schedule Health Analysis tools and Schedule Risk Assessment tools.
  • Working knowledge of EVMS guidelines and processes.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance

Salary Range: $54,200 - $81,200

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
