The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman's Category Management Team (CMT) within the Mission Systems Sector, which is engaged throughout all aspects of the core technologies used within our major systems. The team is based out of San Diego, CA with a hybrid working option. 100% remote cannot be considered at this time.
Within the Category Management organization the candidate will support a team-based organization and perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including but not limited to strategic analysis, complex negotiations, materials planning, procurement execution/award, finance, and internal customer service. Ideal candidates are generally experienced in multiple areas of the procurement or contractual function(s), developing business relationships, and demonstrating an affinity for working with, or understanding both manufacturing and technology.
The Procurement Specialist (Band 1) responsibilities will encompass:

Approaching competitive and non-competitive sourcing in request for quotations Optimizing volume pricing through bid package strategies
Evaluating supplier proposals and placing compliant purchase orders
Extracting, monitoring, analyzing, and validating data information from multiple sources
Developing engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners/customers to drive problem resolution
Basic Qualifications for Associate Supply Chain Procurement Specialist:

Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in supply chain and/or business management.
Experience within MS Office suite
U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications for Associate Supply Chain Procurement Specialist:

Experience as a Team Lead in past projects or roles Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications
SAP experience
Experience with FAR/DFAR
Primary Level Salary Range: $55,600.00 - $83,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
