Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) within Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, collaborative, and creative Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) Chief of Staff who will be supporting the ATL Director as Chief-of-Staff, including assigned aspects over operations, communications, continuous improvement, financial, and special projects associated with foundry execution of operations and development objectives.
Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - is the NGMC east coast foundry where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, and Silicon Carbide) and providing leading-edge technology development in Superconducting Electronics and SLCFET. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman's ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems.

A strong understanding of semiconductor technology and microelectronic process engineering is essential.

Job Summary:
The position of ATL Chief of Staff * reports directly to the Director of ATL. The manager will primarily matrix manage through the organization without direct reports, however direct staff may be considered per business needs. The manager will be supporting the ATL Director as Chief-of-Staff, including assigned aspects over operations, communications, continuous improvement, financial, and special projects associated with foundry execution of operations and development objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities include the following:
Analyze, track, and communicate ATL goals and metrics tied to the strategy & annual operating plan to aid in leadership, financial and organizational decision making.
Establish and maintain the operating rhythm for the ATL Leadership Team, serving as a focal point for collaboration and meeting/event facilitation.
Shape and develop the ATL narrative and Director communications content for strategic internal engagements with Sector and Corporate teams.
Develop, implement and support ATL level processes and operating frameworks/models across multiple functions.
Drive execution of strategic initiatives and tasks initiated by the Director by working with cross-functional teams and business leaders throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science with 10 years of semiconductor manufacturing and technology experience leading and managing high performing teams and cross-functional teams including functional management ; or a Master's degree in Engineering/Science with over 8 years of that experience.
Experience briefing high level management, executives, and customers
Demonstrated ability to matrix manage without direct reports, driving organizational performance, process discipline, and staff development
Ability to prioritize and multi-task when there are competing demands on you and the team
Ability to formulate, communicate and execute complex project plans and initiatives
Comfortable reviewing, analyzing, manipulating, and forming conclusions from complex datasets
Proven skills/experience building and supporting high-performing cross-functional teams and cultures to achieve operational excellence and meet the expectations of internal/external customers/stakeholders
Strong business and financial acumen
Significant experience with multiple Semiconductor Wafer process and characterization technologies, and Continuous Improvement and Quality methodologies
Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership, shop floor employees, and support function employees
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience crafting and delivering site level communications and executive communications
15 years of relevant experience (engineering and management) with end-to-end semiconductor processes, including prior experience with semiconductor equipment or process engineering, working at a semiconductor equipment vendor, device fabrication, and/or test/assembly/packaging facilities
Successfully led complex initiatives within the semiconductor industry, including medium/high volume efforts
* Master's degree or higher in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Chemistry #NGMC
Primary Level Salary Range: $178,500.00 - $267,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
