Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an Associate Administrative Assistant 1 or Administrative Assistant 2 to support the Space Security Business Unit in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Reporting directly to the Northrop Grumman Site Lead, the Administrative Assistant provides a critical role in supporting both organizational and administrative requirements for the effective operations of the business unit in Colorado Springs. This is an on-site position with no remote or telework option. This position is not eligible for a 9/80 schedule.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, well-organized, reliable, and detail oriented. A day-in-the-life typically includes, but is not limited to:

Managing calendars and scheduling meetings, to include all support necessary to facilitate meetings

Working closely with the security team to ensure security protocols and processes are followed

Working with building management and NGC facility representatives to handle office repairs and maintenance requests, communicate building and facility announcements, provide janitorial oversight, and address other incidents as needed

Working with NGC IT Services to coordinate equipment deliveries and service requests, support printer maintenance activities, and providing basic IT troubleshooting

Coordinating and supporting moves of office personnel and resources within the facility

Leading new hire onboarding and in-processing activities for the site, and acting as a point of contact for guidance and support during first week activities

Handling of mail and shipping/receiving items for the site

Acting as a fire evacuation warden

Maintaining copy/supply/breakroom supplies and general office organization and appearance

Supporting the site by handling routine administrative duties, greeting and escorting guests, and creating a friendly and professional atmosphere for all employees to work in

Provide general support to visitors and customers

This requisition can be filled at either an Administrative Assistant 1 or Principal Administrative Assistant 2 levels.
Basic Qualifications for Administrative Assistant 1:

Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma and 0 years of related work experience

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills

Must have excellent time management and organizational skills with high attention to detail

Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); up-to-date with advancements in office equipment and applications

Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and handle multiple tasks and activities in a fast-paced office environment

Experience participating and hosting in-person and remote video teleconference meetings (such as Zoom, Skype, MS Teams)

Ability to lift, move, and carry items up to 40lbs

Ability to work on site; Monday - Friday during core office hours (7:30 am - 3:30 pm)

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications for Administrative Assistant 1:

Ability to exercise discretion and respect confidentiality concerning employee information and company records

Possess a high level of initiative and ability to effectively handle multiple tasks

Ability to work well independently with minimal daily direction, as well as part of a team

Be customer focus oriented; previous experience with government customers is a plus

Must be able to work amicably with a diverse work force and respect differing opinions

TS/SCI clearance is desirable but not required

Salary Range: $35,000.00 - $58,000.00Salary Range 2: $41,600.00 - $69,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
