The Mission Enabling Products organization is seeking an Autoclave Manufacturing Technician for our 3rd shift (8:00 pm - 5:30 am) to assist an experienced team of technicians to perform cure operation on one or more spacecraft systems or subsystems. This position will pay 15% differential per hour.
This position will be located in the San Diego, CA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Primary Responsibilities:

Loading/unloading tools and parts in autoclave
Maintaining autoclave and oven tools (i.e.: hoses and thermocouples)
Reading/understanding cure charts
Troubleshooting issues (i.e.: leaking bag and vessel not heating)
Inspecting bags prior to cure for potential problems
Adjusting cures
Handling and managing fragile composite materials.
Bond, prep and bonding of composite structures.
May report status/progress and interface with other employees and departments
Tooling preparation and release application.
Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, rulers, and tape measures for fabricating hardware.
Assist in maintaining overall shop appearance and cleanliness.
Execute written instructions.
Written and verbal communication skills
Basic Qualifications:
Level 2

High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a composites/manufacturing environment (space/satellite structures, aerospace manufacturing environment preferred) and/or specialized education included in or post HS such as an applicable certification or AA degree.
1+ years of experience with autoclaves/ovens
Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail required.
Initiative, self-starter, adaptable, and highly motivated for quality excellence.
Able to read, write and follow written instructions in English.
Proficient use of basic arithmetic.
Ability to multitask.
Must have Basic computer skills.
Excels in a team environment.
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to be standing upright for up to 8+ hours each day.
Ability to work Overtime and Weekends as needed.
Experience with operating forklift a plus
US Citizen
Level 3

Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $83,300.00Salary Range 2: $59,300.00 - $98,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
