WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
As a member of the Women's Footwear Team, you will collaborate with key partners onshore and offshore, including teams in Product Development, Testing, Material Design, Product Design, Management, Merchandising, Sourcing, Business Operations, Value Engineering, and our partners in Asia. You will navigate the NIKE matrix to align processes with divisional and functional standards, driving product excellence. You will be the primary contact for our Asia teammates, ensuring clear communication during development, commercialization, and manufacturing.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Women's Sport FW Lead Product Engineer to create top performance footwear. You will develop new concepts, design products, interpret technical drawings, and analyze data for refined specifications. You'll review samples to ensure cost-effective, high-quality deliverables. Your role includes developing and updating engineering best practices to enhance quality, craftsmanship, performance, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, a quick learner, a strong communicator, a great teammate, and possess solid technical and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
- A minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience
- Experience in Footwear Engineering (Product, Manufacturing and Chemical), FW Development, or related fields
- Balance product details with clear communication of vision and ideas
- Proficient communication with internal and external partners
- Comfortable innovating from a blank canvas and driving future footwear
- Think outside the box, leveraging consumer insights and testing data
- Read technical drawings and 3D files to solve problems
- Understand virtual prototyping, CAD, 3D printing, and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of materials, test methods, and their applications in product creation
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
This role focuses on product creation from initial brief to commercialization, ensuring excellence in Craft, Fit, Comfort, Performance, Quality, Sustainability, Cost/Value, and Innovation
Responsibilities:
- Provide early recommendations and technical expertise on tooling, compounds, plates, injection, construction techniques, materials, processes, sustainability, cost, and chemical engineering solutions.
- Drive team and business growth, addressing manufacturing, sustainability, or cost issues.
- Share expertise with junior team members on footwear construction, manufacturing, chemical, and lab testing procedures.
- Offer multi-solution approaches and creative problem-solving for sustainable product excellence.
- Develop and enhance engineering best practices to improve quality craftsmanship, performance, and efficiency.
