Software Engineer III, ITC

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will be a part of the larger Global Technology organization working on Nike's internal product creation tools and report to the team's Engineering Manager. You will work day-to-day with the a team of engineers, the team's Product Manager and Principal Engineers in the organization on software projects to achieve Nike's business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a Software Engineer III to solve complex software engineering problems supporting Nike's pursuit of delivering state of the art tools to our Consumer Product & Innovation community. The candidate needs to be highly collaborative with peers, productive in a fast-paced

• A minimum of 5 years software development experience
• Experience working in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
• Experience working in a cloud-based environment (e.g. AWS Services)
• Experience in micro service architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful Services using Java
• Experience working with Java and Spring Boot framework mandatorily
• Experience in Test Driven development - with Junit, Mockito, cucumber etc.
• Experience with monitoring and tracing tools like Splunk, SignalFx, Kibana/Grafana etc.
• Experience working with NoSQL data stores like Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB etc.
• Experience working with relational data stores like MySQL, Oracle etc.
• Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Comfortable working with globally distributed and diverse teams
• Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of project/capabilities that includes requirement evaluation, design, implementation, observability and maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.

• You will contribute to the development of new features and identifying technical areas for improvement, proactively collaborating with product team members at Nike to design, develop, and deploy a highly scalable solution.
• You will participate in peer code reviews, sharing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain high-quality code standards.
• You will stay informed about the latest industry trends, bringing new ideas and improvements to the team.
• You will support the team's agile practices, promoting continuous improvement and collaboration to deliver top-notch consumer experiences at scale.
